Slow cooked root vegetables in a Poike

Ingredients

  • potatoes washed well 3
  • Cauliflower head 1
  • white onions peeled 3
  • carrots peeled 2
  • Jerusalem artichokes washed well 5
  • Turnip peeled
  • Fennel cut into quarters
  • olive oil 3 tablespoons
  • cloves of cardamom 4
  • cinnamon sticks 2
  • heavy cream 250 ml
  • garlic cloves 4
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

Cut all ingredients coarsely, into a mixing bowl.

Add oil and season, mix and put into Poike add the cream on top

Close poike and place on heated charcoal.

Also possible to place in oven at 110 over night.
